Foster Home

In 2019, community leaders brought to us a concern that we had begun to recognize ourselves: children living in extremely unhealthy home environments or not having a home at all. The orphanages in our area are overpopulated, the kids aren't well cared for, and many parents just use them as a place to drop off their kids when they do not want to care for them. Through prayer and discussion, we agreed that a foster home would be the best solution to this problem.

The foster home is a chance for children to be properly nurtured and loved under the care of our amazing team. We intentionally focus on their physical, spiritual, and emotional health as we meet all of their needs. Then, under the discernment of our social worker and supervisor, a resettlement process and placement is carried out when the time is right for each child. If the household they came from is not deemed fit, a new and loving family is found for the child to grow up in. We then continue to support and provide counsel for the families and children until they have completed high school.

We opened the doors of our foster home in January of 2020 and have had the blessing of caring for six children so far! It has been incredible to see the transformations in each child after being removed from abusive and neglectful situations. Our doors will continue to remain open to any child that the community and our team agree upon for care! Our dream is that through continued involvement and ministry, there will one day not be a need for the foster home because all of the village children are in healthy homes.
