WATER WELL

WATER WELL PROJECT

Our first large project was launched in April of 2017, when we discovered an emergency need for drinking water. Lake Victoria had developed a toxic water hyacinth that tainted the villages source of drinking water, a lot of people become very sick, and some even died.

A big THANK YOU to the Christ Congregational Church of Lufkin, TX who partnered with us to help us dig a fresh water well for the village. This is an ongoing project that requires occasional maintenance of the well, and also making sure everyone has access, including elderly who cannot walk to get their water every day.

Unfortunately, the region we are currently serving in is not the only community being affected by the water hyacinth that is causing so much sickness. We would like to begin working on trying to dig wells for many of the villages around Lake Victoria that depend on the lake for drinking water.
