​SALT of Africa started with four Aggies who originally visited Wagusu on a medical mission trip almost ten years ago! Each of us fell in love with the village and community. As we continued to visit each year, we knew that we wanted to start a nonprofit in order to better serve the beautiful people we were building relationships with. SALT of Africa was founded in fall of 2019. 

Our goal is to aid the communities in this region by meeting some of their most basic needs. We believe the biggest need we all share is the need for relationship with Christ. We cannot wait to see what God has planned as we partner with Him, village leaders and our supporters to serve our
Wagusu family. It has been our greatest joy to have the opportunity to love our family and build one another up over the years!
